One of the best perks of being a registered TriAugusta member is access to this closed FB group…it’s here you find people looking for buddies when they train, you learn about events, you have a sounding board on just about anything you ask, and you get the “inside scoop” before the general public. Of course, the crazy banter is entertainment too!

Here’s some more info on the competition (full rules can be found at https://www.teamusa.org/…/Cl…/National-Challenge-Competition). Athletes enter their actual mileage and it is weighted (Swim 10x, Bike 1x, Run 3x). For biking, if you use a trainer, have an odometer and ride on at least a moderate resistance setting you can use your actual miles – otherwise it’s 15 miles for each hour. There are elliptical and cross-country skiing substitutions allowed for running. We’d like EVERYONE in the club who will be training during the 3 month period to register, even if you won’t be doing tons of miles. I’ll do another post tomorrow for those who are planning to win the competition with some numbers from last year
so that you’ll know what you need to shoot for. Starts on Friday, 12/1, so register soon.
